my camera broke

i'm so pissed off.

i've been so carefull with it for 2.5 years and taken such good care of it...

this afternoon i was getting out of the car and it fell out of my bag.

it turns on and then goes right off again.

well, maybe this will make you feel better.

I just got the best camera ever for Christmas...loved it. and then in April when I was in "Into the Woods" someone stole it. Within 20 minutes of me leaving it alone BACKSTAGE. So it was someone IN the show, ie. someone I know and probably trust.


I had to replace it. Still very angry about it.


So at least yours lived its full life :)

wow that really sucks.

i went looking at cameras today at bestbuy... i found the newer version of mine. i'm thinking of buying it.

i also want/need a new camcorder... mine is terribly outdated.

and the moral is: leave expensive cameras at home, or secure them.

it's a tough lesson to learn Stephanie....but in one way or another we all have. Just keep an eye out for it. Do you at least have the serial number?

But the thing is, all my friends had their cameras too, so there was like 14 cameras that day...and MINE was taken. GAAH and everyone is so nice! Well, apparently not EVERYONE...lol


sorry, I'm selfish. I'm really sorry your camera broke!! that really sucks. I suggest eBay. I got my camera (the same one one that was stolen) brand new in box for less than half its original price!!

I love me some ebay.

Ah, well I know that Z612's are on sale now that the Z712 is available.

The Kodak Z612 is my second camrea, and a great one....saw it today for $185

we want to stick with a kodak beacuse i have a kodak printer and i'd like to continue using it :)

the newer version of mine was $149 at bestbuy
they didn't have any in stock though.
we might go to a different bestbuy tomarrow since they have them in stock at another location.

B&H might have good prices too, if you don't mind ordering online. Unique Photo is also a good shop (though, they used to only sell to pros...not sure if that's changed).

B&H is good, I buy from them...also, bestbuy.com has a 2day sale going on right now, 5-20% on digitcal cameras, have to buy online....which I always do.
You'll get better prices by buying online.

Just make sure with more expensive cameras like Nikon and Canon you are getting the US warrenty, and not a foreign one.

Abba is it worth looking at getting it repaired?

I was stupid and took mine to the beach last summer without a case and it got sand in it. I took it to a local camera shop and the price to have it repaired was still less than the price to replace it.

Of course, maybe you're looking for an excuse to buy a new camera...in which case, dont' let me stand in your way!

Are there any camera repair shops near you, Abba? That might be the cheapest way.

I have an Easy Share too. It takes good pictures but uses way too many batteries.

i got a new one :)

i actually found one that was slightly less expensive. the one that was 149 had "better features" but alot of those features, i would never use.

i got one for 129 and i'm quite pleased with it :)

there is a camera shop in my town, but it's on the rich side of town and wicked expensive.
