Are you looking for a college degree program? Or a professional training program?

If you're looking for a pro. training program, anything reputable is going to require an audition.

Are there any regular acting classes in your area? Check with professional theatres and see if they offer classes in their off-season, many do. Also look into community colleges -- they will almost definitely have acting classes.

In the mean time, start reading plays. That will give you a head start when you get going with classes :)

St. Edwards University in Austin, TX is a non-audition school.

Can I ask why you would want to be in a program that doesn't require an audition? When I was looking at schools that was a red flag for me to go running in the other direction. I wanted a progam of people who were on the same level as me in terms of talent and drive. A program that doesn't require an audition means anyone can join, some of whom may not have the potential or the talent which can hinder you in your own studies.

I'm not saying all the people in non-audition programs aren't talented, 'm just saying I'd rather be working with people that hd to beaccpted into the program on the same basis I was. I think the playing field is more level that way.

Just my two cents.
