need help w/song title and show

I heard 2 songs I don't know when BWRadio was messed up the other day and not showing correct info. I was hoping someone here might help with song title & show.

The first is a male/female character duet sung in extreme southern accents. I believe the guy is named Frankie & the first line is, "I'm gonna go to the picture show, there's a movie that i got to see."

I don't remember any phrases from this one, but it's a girl singing about a dog. It starts off like she's singing about a guy, but it turns out to be a dog. (Okay, there's some good jokes here, but I'll refrain.)

The first is from parade, and the song is "THE PICTURE SHOW".
I reccomend you the cd, and specially the track "all the wasted time", just incredible.

The second song is "Times Like This" from Lucky Stiff.
