Posted: 5/2/07 at 10:34amI am looking for a saucy belter ballad (not cute or ingenue-ish). I have a high belt, so it would be great if it went up to a D5 or even E5 would be cool. If this is helpful... I also sing: "My Man," "Don't Tell Me On a Sunday," "I'm Not Afraid of Anything," "Girl in 14G." If you could think of anything, that would be great!! Thanks a bunch!

Posted: 5/5/07 at 7:59pmDefinitely check and Jekyll & Hyde. There are several in that show. I also agree with the Little Women suggestion. You might want to check out Spamalot...the Lady of the Lake has some great belting songs. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels would be another good one. I hope this helps. If I think of anymore, I'll post.

Check out the title song from "Elegies: For Angels, Punks, and Raging Queens" It's a beautiful song that Alice Ripley sings on the recording. I need to look up in my score how high it goes but I think it's something like D5.
Cheers,
Christopher
