Perfect examples on why members should be limited to the number of post they can make per day, week, month, year......
Save your post until you really have something to say!

"oh god i forgot about the felited ones. "
Dear God, Liam, please tell me you were trying to say 'deleted ones'.
Looks like it could be something else entirely.

I am overwhelmed by the number of time I visit a board and find certain posters have posted on EVERY thread - Every. Mother. Loving. Thread. Whether they know the subject matter, whether they have something of value to post, they have an obsessive compulsion to be that last up. They must feel their opinions, their piffle, their non seuiturs must be seen by all. And in what fantasy world do some believe that all opinions are created equal? Yes, I said it. Everyone may have an opinion, but certainly they don't all carry the same weight. Why write just for the sake of seeing yourself in print? And if more than a few were honest here, they'd say that's what has driven many seriously minded, knowledgeable, and intelligent past members to post so seldom on the board.

That's that they have said to me. But perhaps you wouldn't know them since they haven't been here for some time, or post only once or twice over several months.
That's okay, shammy, you don't need to rack your brain trying to think of them. There are knowledgeable and intelligent people here who do know who I mean.

I have no problem admitting that I make typos. I also, obviously since I still post here, don't consider myself to be included in the knowledgeable or intelligent group. I have no, none, zero problem acknowledging that others have many strengths that I don't possess. An ability to proof read is included in my faults at 1am in the morning. And unlike so many here, my ego can handle that just fine.
ive been on boards where people just post and post and post just to up their number. does it really matter? i post random sh*it yeah, but its not to have more posts under my belt. i really could care less about how many i have.

Then why keep count?
And yes it matters. Besides taking up bandwidth, other unsuspecting readers who don't realize someone has NOTHING worth reading waste their time reading crap until they realize to ignore you...err...them.
im not keeping count. i just looked to reply to this.
and i meant - why does it matter if you have more than someone else? like... if someone only has 100 posts, and another person has 200, the person with 200 will usuall brag about how they have more. thats what im saying. it doesnt matter if you have more or less than someone else.
The way I see the OT board is like a room where people come to chat. Some conversations can have meaning, others are just for fun. Not all conversations have to be of 'substance'. I sometimes join in 'fluff' conversations, sometimes in 'issue' conversations. Just like 'in person'.

I'm too lazy to count up my average...
I still say its quality over quantity.
