ok, it looks like I'm going to have to be the one to say this...

that little girl in the bottom 4 of america's got talent is horrible!

yeah, I know. she's only 4. I don't care. She's tone deaf. My 4 year old Cousins can sing better than her.

the poor thing has no business being on that show. actually, the poor things PARENTS have no business whoring out thier daughter the way they are. I mean, I know she's gotten this far because we are taught to encourage young people, but, really: does anyone believe people will pay to see a 4 year old sing in Vegas?

I just feel sorry for her, becuase she is going to get voted off tonight (hopefully), and I feel like it's going to kill her inside. 4 year olds aren't ready for that kind of rejection, and I feel that the higher she has gotten, the bigger the drop is going to be for her.

am I just a bitter non-human, or does anyone else feel the same way?

she's only 4!!!! Do you know how many four year olds can sing a song and sing on pitch and memorize all the words like she did. If she were 20 and you said she sounded like that I could understand, but she sounds like that and she's only 4! When she is older she will be better than Patti Lupone

I feel exactly the same way (as the original poster). What killed me the most was when someone said, "I love your voice; you've got a great voice." She's four, she doesn't have a 'voice.' Four-year-olds' voices are basically indistinguishable from each other anyway... pull over a random four-year-old on the street and it could sing just as well. She's not talented OR untalented for a four-year-old, she's exactly the same as any other four-year-old.

I'm going to disagree with this. For 4 she has a pretty good sense of pitch. It's just that physically at age 4 most kids can't sing in tune more than about five or six pitches. I teach elementary school vocal music The first few years are all about pitch matching and gaining control of the singing voice and training the ears. She's obviously got a potential talent, but I agree, no one will pay to see a 4 year old sing in Vegas.

Well, she's more in tune than my 9 year old niece. But srsly; if this were 'Britain's Got Talent', this would be excusable, because even a 4 year old could cope with a slot at the Royal Variety Show. But Vegas? REALLY? You guys need a... Presidential Variety Show or something, 'cos as things currently stand, this is annoying, impractical, and downright irresponsible. The show isn't 'America's Got Talent', it's 'America's Got Enough Talent To Sustain A Show In Vegas', so it should stop pretending to be as inclusive as it's pretending to be.

I don't understand the point of this post, at all. That little girl was eliminated from the competition, 2 weeks ago! She wasn't in the top 5, she was in the top 10, and she absolutely deserved to be there. I hate big, fat cry-baby, and especially hate the fact that he won.

Ok, it looks like I'm going to have to be the one to say this...if you watch drek like America's Got Talent, you shouldn't be allowed to have any opinion about anything ever.

oh, shut your trap, Borstal re: ok, it looks like I'm going to have to be the one to say this...

at least these people are talented, and it makes for mostly better tv than the majority of scripted crap on tv these days.

So which drek should we watched to be allowed an opinion? Gossip Girls? The Hills? American Idol? Lost? Countdown with Keith Olbermann? Hannity and Colmes? The Rachel Maddow Show? The Late Show with David Letterman? The Tonight Show? Today? America's Next Top Model? Grey's Anatomy? Which one? Please, please tell us!
