well i had mentioned that i have a high pop/rock belt.. but as for old or new, i would rather it not be toooo modern... late 80's/early 90's would prob be best.. but thanks for the suggestion! if you think of any more, let me know! =)

ooh and if you don't mind, i have another question... what do you think of black velvet by alannah myles? do you think it's too country? it shows that i have a clear belt which is sorta important for the part but still i don't know if it's pop/rock enough.. anyway sorry for all the questions haha.. i just need all the advice i can get =)
i don't know about the black velvet song sorry.
I know this is kinda from a show, but "Let's hear it for the boys" from footloose is really popish 80's. I've used it for a lot of auditions and it works really well. It also gets pretty high at the end i can't tell you the exact note off hand.
good luck!
I love that song! If you can do it well, go for it. Its all about Elvis, hes my favorite!!!

if you can arrange it right where ever you will go, has great acting possibilities with a good lyric line.

I know "Footloose" is a musical, but I love "Holding Out For a Hero"! It's what I usually use for Pop/Rock. It's belty, edgy, and high energy! Just a suggestion.

Do you mean like Chris Daughtry rocky?
If so, stereophonics - Maybe Tommorow could show off power.
If you're looking to show off stamina, Minus The Bear - Absinthe Party At The Fly Honey Warehouse would be good if you raised it a few keys.
But I do think footloose and grease are the best you can find.
Black Velvet could definitely work.
