was watching daytime tv today while im sick at home and there are a myriad of those commercials for "trades", but a couple peaked my interest (maybe it's the medicine, but whatever).
chef - how difficult is it to make a living in this career after getting an AA from some place like art institute or a jr college?
commercial pilot - seems expensive, website is skymates.com, but is it worth it? it seems like a great job, but is it tough to get a job with a major airline?
bartender - 1-800-bar-tend, a good thing or a scam?

Of course she has very tig bitties. She loves the fact that while she is at work she is everyone's best friend. She says everyone loves the bartender.

You can definitely make a living with a culinary certificate. My father did it. It all depends on what you want to do though - you can always start as a cook in a restaurant and work your way up the food chain (so to speak
), which could lead to more lucrative culinary career options later on. Other culinary careers are a bit more difficult to break into - a personal chef is great, but you need to build the network of clients. There's always catering as well, food writing, etc. Lots of careers in the culinary arts because, well, folks need to (and like to) eat!
