site problems?????

is anyone else having problems on the website today??? at one point, everything would come up excpet for the message boards.. at another point, I could not access the site at all.

Now it isn't letting me access my PMs....

I had trouble accessing it about 10 minutes ago. I got an error message saying site was down. It happens once un awhile. The hamster must be taking a coffee break.

I did too... now I can get to them, but all of my old messages are gone.... and my address book is now empty.

The server was down (on purpose) for upgrading. Technical glitches are currently being worked on to recover some site files...

Maybe the "can the adults smoke" thread finally blew-up the server.

Sometimes, my cursor flickers when I'm typing. I think it has to do with how technically complex the banner at the top of the screen has to do with it

It appears the shutdown corrupted the PM table... Restored to the backup of it (couple of days old) while they see if they can get anything back since then (not looking great thus far).

The site wouldn't even come up for me at all for like 2 hours and then when it did it sent me a really old PM that I had already read and answered a long time ago, strange!

laactress... you must have had a PM that was unread when the backup was snapped that they used to revert.

Ah well... these things happen. We should all be grateful that there were backups to go to. Many sites aren't so organized. Especially when they are "free".

I didn't have any problems today, but back in June I couldn't get on the site for a month and a half on my home computer, but on all other computers I could.

Anyone know what this is about?

I had trouble accesing my pms through explorer today. But if I log on through aol I can read my pm's but I can't read the message boards. very weird.
