Ok, I didn't see a topic about this, but if it's already been posted, my apologies. What do you all think of these jelly bracelets? Also known as "Sex Bracelets". I think people are totally over reacting. Some people just got really bored and decided to slap a sexual conotation to these little rubber bracelets--which I might add, are a come-back fad from the 80's, and the sex game was created FOR adults. They banned the bracelets in parts of FL and it made headlines--w/out the headlines I don't think that the fad would have made it across the nation. I had a run-in with my aunt about it today. She got really mad and defensive about it b/c I was wearing one that her daughter gave me--i only wore it b/c i thought it was cute n' went w/ my outfit. Finally, I got so fed up and "snapped" it off of my wrist and said "This is crap! Now if you'd excuse me, I have to go screw myself b/c I just snapped a black bracelet!" I feel that it is totall BS that these are being banned, and that the 'game' even went this far. It is no different than the beer bottle wrappers that people used to pass out to each other w/ dots on the back, and the coke soda tabs people used to wear.
So, what do you all think?

Well, if these bracelets are those ones where you wear different colors that represent what sexual act you're willing to do, frankly, I think it's slutty, demeaning, and won't make anyone respect you, and are imappropriate especially for young girls. That's what college is for.
Ummm... I have, like, seventeen from going to see "The Awesome '80s Prom". They give them out as prom favors. :)
Are they advertised as being sex bracelets?
Nope. I believe that they were simply called "gel bracelets".
I remember wearing gel bracelets when I was younger, and they were only known as gel bracelets, and that's okay. It's the tweens who wear them, knowing they'll be perceived as sex bracelets, that bug me.
Sorry I should have been more clear about it. Yes, they are the colored bracelets that mean you will do certain acts. http://www.sex-bracelets.com/ That site is all about it.
And you are correct, it is very demeaning, slutty, and dirty--for those who actually wear them for that purpose. And it really stinks that this cool bracelet fad had to be ruined by those who are too bored to find nething else to do.
This is the color coding:
Black: sexual intercourse
Blue: blow job (alternate meaning: lap dance)
Green: cunnilingus (alternate meaning: outdoor sex, hug)
Clear: whatever you want (alternate meaning: hug)
Orange: kiss
Yellow: hug (alternate meaning: analingus)
Red: lap dance (alternate meaning: French kiss, oral sex)
Purple: anal sex (alternate meaning: holding hands, doggy style)
Silver: fisting
White: flash your tits (alternate meaning: gay kiss, French kiss)
Pink: flashing
Gold glitter: make out
Brown: toss my salad, i.e., analingus
Glow in the dark: using sex toys, e.g. vibrators, dildos, etc.
Yeah... some sexually-frustrated people have way too much time on their hands.
Double post.

Wow... you can get a package of 20 for a dollar at A Buck or Two.
That's a whole lot of sex for a dollar.
Hmmm... that'd be kind of hard to convey with a color (even if it is the 'anti-rainbow' color). I would suggest a wristband with text a la "Livestrong". :)
I go to a small private school grades 6-12 and as a senior I am appalled at seeing 7th and 8th graders wearing these (and not just for the sake of wearing them).
