ok, ive been looking for this music everywhere, but the only place ive found it is online in a book, and i dont want to buy it until i have seen it (i need 16 bars for an audition, and i need to figure out whether that will work w/ this song). any ideas?
An Audra McDonald songbook has it. Sorry, I don't have any more details.
thanx, yeh i saw it listed, but i dont want to order it if i wont be able to use it, and i cant seem to find anywhere online that has it listed alone
It's in Volume 3 of the mezzo soprano/belter Musical Theatre Anthology.

i really don't think it's available as a single piece.
try looking at digital sheet music sites where you can pay to DOWNLOAD the music and print it out... but it may not be there either.

I heard Jason Robert Brown say that there were women in their early 20s who were trying to sing Stars and the Moon and just did not have the life experience to 'get' it and to be able to put it over.
He essentially said mid 30s and older.
Oh, if it's in the Musical Theatre Anthology get that. It's a helpful book.
thanx everyone, i will look for that book (it would probably be a good one to have anyway)

I have it as well. Also, it's in the Songs for A New World Vocal Selections book. That's why I have it. It's in the right key and everything. And although I tend to agree with Jason Robert Brown, I did see a high school girl sing the song once and it was phenomenal. (I don't know what her life experience was, though).
