Avenue Q

tried to copy and paste above but the formatting didn't carry over i don't think...it's very interesting, it's a device with a sliding bar for MOOD (light to dark) AUDIENCE (Children to Adults) and STYLE (traditional to experimental). For fun i set it on the darkest, most adult, most experimental range (slid the cyber rheostat to the right as far as it should go, when in actuality it should probably be to the left with more conservative/traditional stuff to the right). The results? the NY Times "critics" suggested that in the Big Apple right now the darkest, most adult, most experimental theatre work is:

HOUSE OF BERNANDO ALBA (which i bet has a great production right now, but was written in 1945)
AVENUE Q (not what i'd call "avant-garde" anymore either, though i love it)

Discuss amongst yourselves.

Will: They don't give out awards for helping people be gay... unless you count the Tonys. "I guarantee that we'll have tough times. I guarantee that at some point one or both of us will want to get out. But I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life..."
