best movie ever... love the theme song! haha.. anyways... what name does Bastian yell at the end of the movie... i put it on close caption but it never says it... anyone know?

no when the empress is telling him to give her a name... he yells out the window and then it goes dark and the next scene is the empress holding that grain of sand..

It's Moonchild - I remember when I saw the movie in the theaters eons ago my father had read the book and told me to read it to find out what she said. I did, loved the book, and found out :)

how different is the book from the movie?

It's been a LONG time since I read it, but if I remember right the first half is pretty close to the movie, but then in the second half the travesty that was the Neverending Story 2 is covered. I remember loving the book - the whole thing - but hating the second movie.
