Yenta- I know what Ptcha is! (I think) Isn't jellied cow's feet or something? Or do I have it mixed up with something else? Anyway, I know it is not something I want to eat.

i hate it when all my numerous adopted mothers (shucks...im a lady-killer...of the elderly kind) try and match me up...but they are so wonderful...
and i have very fond memories of Fiddler on the Roof...we had a good Yenta

elphie......you are correct! Petcha is the jellied stock made from boiling calves feet with a ton of garlic and pepper. As a child I called it foot jello. It looks awful but it is quite good.

Yenta is also an excellent actress. When I directed her in OUR TOWN she was the first member of the cast to know her lines and she never bumped into the scenery.

...wait a minute, OUR TOWN didn't have any scenery.

Dollypop............What do you mean there wasn't any scenery for me to bump into? There was plenty of scenery on that stage. Rooms full of furniture, grass, trees, hills, Lake Winnipasaukee, the White Mountains. I think it is time for my meds.

Elphie, Mohn cake is made with poppy seeds. My sister in law makes a very good one for Pesach. It is the only thing she does well.
