he ran a blazing campaign
he wore no damn flag pin
to face the evil mccain
the nomination he must win
he beat edwards and he conquered hil
he even locked horns with bill
he made his blazing campaign
a torch to light the way
when outlaws rule the party
and fear fills the left
a cry went up for a man not a gal
with a voice that had real heft
they needed a man who really sounded good
redistribution of wealth was his aim
then out of the back came a smiling black
and bammy was his name,

there was a party called the democrats
led by a queen named hillary
they never had no kind of trouble
there was no hint of misery
their primaries were always lively
but never nasty or obscene
at least that’s how it always had been
before the reign of howard dean
then all at once the trouble started
an empty suit armed with some kool-aid
like a rainmaker he descended
and party unity he frayed
now it is time of great decision
are we to fight or up and quit?
there's a good chance at this convention
our party will turn into sh*t
