Well, see, I heard it from a friend who got it from his neighbour who saw it on a third-generation photocopy that fell out of the briefcase of the brother of the ex-lover of the guy who came in to fix the air conditioner that....
Uh... wait....
Ok, got it now! Anyway, he says that Bush never lied about anything and that Al Quaeda is expected to bomb the heck out of Fargo, North Dakota, sometime next Tuesday, around tea time.
Or something like that.
But you know it's all true!
LOL

I'm sorry, has there been more than one intelligence committee around these days?
Papa, face it: the "intelligence" community here screwed up, probably on its own and with a little prodding from the Incumbent. And it brought us into a nasty little war that's not accomplished a whole lot aside from raise the fear level worldwide a few hundred inches or so.
Ya may not like the report, but no one's doing an especially good job of refuting it.

well, see that's the thing. the report did a pretty good job of pointing out that joe wilson, patron saint of the left has been basically lying through his teeth since opening his mouth.
however, i don't think that freeing 25 million people from living under the threat of death for the slightest hint of opposition is nothing. nor do i think taking out of power a man who paid bounties to suicide bombers' families is such a bad thing. do try to keep in mind that saddam killed more iraqis by a factor of 100 at the least than all the people who've died in this war. you might want to read what iraqis are actually writing about their country and their hopes. it's a lot more optimistic than anything you'll find in the american press. ya see hope isn't somthing they've had much of in iraq in the last 35 years. giving 25 million people a chance and reason to hope, and possibly by extension a reason to turn away from a nihilistic theocratic society for freedom progress and a representative democracy? that's worth it. and in generations to come that will be the consensus while they are looking back and wondering how so many people could argue against freedom and hope.

Posted: 7/15/04 at 8:56pmIf we want to go after evil dictators, Hussien was small-time compared to some of the gems around these days. What makes him different, of course, is... here it comes... oil. But dictators in Africa who have been systematically murdering their people for decades? We might as well give them carte blanche to continue since, after all, they dont have anything we really need.
