so I have Comcast right now and I'm thinking about switching to AT&T U-Verse... been doing some research and there seems to be an even amount of negative and positive... just wanting to hear some more thoughts on it...

We have a landline in our house that we want to keep so I'd basically be doing a bundle of home phone/internet/cable

Our Comcast has bad customer service... REALLY BAD which is the reason why I want to move... they have given us a good deal because I keep threatening to leave them... for 130 a month we have cable/internet and that includes three HD Boxes that they are letting us have for free for a year...

Does U-Verse have a good channel lineup? worth it to pay an additional 10 bucks a month for HD? all that jazz and etc...

much thanks

We have it in our place in Florida and i really like it. EXcept when the modem fall out of the socket and we lose tv, net AND phone- try getting customer service then!
But i like the selection of speciality channels ( I love Cloo for cops/mystery type shows)

My mother has it. When I house-sit for her, I dread using it. The guide and on-demand platform is INSANELY SLOW. Push a button...wait...results...push button...wait...scroll....push button...wait...wait...wait...

So- the customer service IS a challenge. (billed for services we had suspended) but they had not counted on dealing with my sis who is part rottweiler. In the end not only did we get the charges cancelled we got a bunch of credits AND free HBO & PVR boxes.

so- still a win.

thanks for the input

i actually stayed with Time Warner... found out they had a bundle to include home phone (which I never knew they had... stupid me!) for only 10 bucks a month for the next year.... decided to keep that and save 40 bucks a months... i'll just have to call TWC in a few months when those deals for our cable boxes expire and see if i can work on a new deal with them to keep me from canceling..

which... a friend of mine recently got AT&T Uverse and then cancelled it after less then a week since they were really happy with the service... interesting....
