what would you do?

say you know someone and they are talking about their lives and you make a suggestion. now it's a completely innocuous suggestion, but they take it and turn it into something sexual. how do you respond to something like that? i mean it happened to me recently and i asked for an apology but this person, or their hair, refused pointedly. i'm so hurt because i used to be so close with this person that we were like peas and carrots and now i don't know what to do.
