i just had some vegetable dumplings. They were pretty bad though.

Mmm... I'm on pacific time so it's almost 4pm here. I'll be having Japanese later on tonight - still contemplating between a la carte or all you can eat, but it'll likely be a happy mixture of teriyaki, sashimi and rolls. (And if I really feel like spoiling myself, some kaki motoyaki as well.)

Hot and sour soup, pork egg rolls, shrimp toast, eggplant in spicy sauce, chicken and yellow leeks.
We ordered from our fave Chinese place, John's Shanghai on 46th. You have to go there when you come to the city in April.

Fresh Krispy Kremes, Albin? (I was so surprised at the lack of Krispy Kreme joints in Manhattan when I was there, unless you bought from one of the delis!)
MEF, I think I've been to John's Shanghai before...is that the small one with a lot of fluorescent lighting at the front? It was either Joe's or John's Shanghai. Which one was Zagat reviewed? You MUST MUST MUST get their soupy dumplings! They're god's gift to food.

no, not fresh, but even a day-old Krispy Kreme is better than fresh N.K.K's (non Krispy Kreme).
And yes, nosey, I did eat 3. If you must know, I have absolutely NO will power when it comes to the KK's!!!

Yea, that sounds like John's. If you leave Virgin, make a right, and go halfway up the side street, you're there. Sound familiar? My wife and I are addicted. We get take out from there at least twice a week.

I had friends in Manhattan who lived right next to the Krispy Kreme on 23rd Street. I gained 5 pounds every time I visited them!
