So folks with the weekend almost here the BIG question is ... What movie to see? Will it be Mary-Kate & Ashley or Van Helsing?
For me it is a NO BRAINER .. HUGH, I mean i'll be viewing Van Helsing. ( Pass the pop corn please, and a drool bucket)

I would normally choose Hugh, but I have no interest in Val Helsing. Frankenstein with automatic weapons? No thank you. With all the stories mixed together, it reminds me too much of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. In the end, it's just another movie about computer animated special effects and gunfire. I love all the comparisons to Indian Jones. LOL Other than being fictional stories, they have nothing in common. There is no way Van Helsing is going to have the effect Raiders of the Lost Ark did in the 80s. And Raiders actually relied upon real three-dimensional special effects. The computer animated special effects look nothing more than that - animation.
New York Minute looks more intelligent and entertaining.

The comic series 'League' was 'based' on is brilliant, an intelligent, educated and insightful mix of those old characters with plenty of smart links and connections and references to the books they're based on.
The movie stinks of poo.
