I love Beaverhausen - he is one of my favorite posters, oh sorry I thought this was about him.
Seriously though, Oregon has traditionally been a progressive state.

having graduated from the University of Oregon......I doubt this will pass.....
In Eugene, Ashland and Portland, sure, but anywhere else in that blasted place is just like Alabama, Mississippi......eastern Oregon is about as redneck as it gets.
It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story...
