.zip files

I was e-mailed a file with a .zip extension, but my computer can't find a program with which to open it.
What can I use that's on my computer (it will let me choose from a list), or what would you guys suggest I use? I was on a computer yesterday that opened it with WinZip, or something like that, but I don't know where to get that.
Thanks!

Your computer is Windows XP?
That should have it's own zip compressor in it.

You really should be able to just double click on the file and see what's inside.
Beware if this came from someone you don't know or it was an unexpected attachment. Viruses (is that the plural?) can be spread through .zip files.

Thanks. But don't worry, I know what the file was - it's from someone perfectly honest and very, very trustworthy.
I don't usually open files like that, but I knew exactly what this was.
