La película 'Regreso al Futuro' será convertida en un musical, que se estrenará en el West End en 2015. Alan Silvestri y Glen Ballard serán los autores de las canciones, aunque se utilizarán también algunas de las que se escuchaban en la BSO la película, como "The Power of Love", "Johnny B. Goode", "Earth Angel" y "Mr. Sandman":

La verdad es que tengo pendiente compartir en este foro mis impresiones sobre algunos musicales que vi el pasado verano en Londres. "Back to the Future" fue uno de ellos y he de decir que, aunque fui a verlo con bastantes reticencias, me sorprendió muy gratamente.
Se trata de un musical muy, muy pero que muy divertido. Con una música simpática y una puesta en escena brutal. Visualmente, en su conjunto es sorprendente pero los 15 minutos finales son, simplemente, espectaculares, de quedarte con la boca abierta (coche volando sobre el patio de butacas, incluido)
La historia la han cambiado un poco, y todo lo relativo a grupo terrorista, en el musical se ha eliminado pero, francamente, la alternativa planteada para la muerte de Doc me parece muy correcta. Por cierto, Roger Bart está de 10 en el papel y rara vez abre la boca sin provocar la risa generalizada del teatro. Celebro que puedan disfrutar de él en NY.
Cuando salí del teatro pensé que este musical funcionaría en España aunque, bien es cierto que su principal atractivo está en la producción que te hace sentir que estás dentro de la película, por lo que, o la haces tal cual o de lo contrario, como pretendas cortar presupuesto, te va a salir un churro.
Supongo y espero que, tarde o temprano, acabemos viéndola por aquí aunque me da cierto miedo de que sea un título que caiga en manos de productoras como Lets go porque, como os decía, el atractivo y grandeza de este musical reside, principalmente, en su producción.
