Posted: 11/10/04 at 7:42pmDid anyone hear see the original Broadway production in the early 80s? I know it didn't last very long, but I'm curious as to what the production was like. I was looking to see if a recording was ever made, but can't find it anywhere.

Posted: 11/11/04 at 12:59amthat was the very first show i was ever in and i freaking LOVE that show. I never got to hear anything about the broadway version, but i just like the music and the back story to the characters...but the only problem is that sometimes Geneva Lee Brown is not cast right. She is suppost to be an African American but due to lack of turn out at auditons i've seen her done by a white girl. And also they tend to cut one of her two songs for an intermission and they always cut the good song insted of the bad one.

Posted: 11/11/04 at 7:26amI'm in a running production of 1940's right now. It's a great little show, but a little confusing story wise, but the story doesn't matter, it's all about the music. I'm BJ. Now did the writer notice the inuendo when he gave BJ the song You Go to My HEAD?
