Yes...I saw this show years ago in San Jose. I thought it was a good show, very energetic (kind of like Noises Off) and I think I still have the program somewhere. I could dig it up if you want more info about the production I saw.

My high school did this play back in 1998. Yeah, it's like Noises Off. It's about the backstage drama of a radio show saluting the WWII troops. I enjoyed it a lot.

I did the show about 10 years ago. It is a fun nostalgic show that works well during the holidays. It is about the on-air and off-air lives and trials of a group of radio station employees and personalities. If you have a good cast the show can really work well. It is essential to replicate the workings of a 40's era radio show with the live band, man created sound effects, and tight Andrews Sister-style harmonies. The music is just a group of standards from the war years of the early 40's like "I'll Be Seeing You", "Our Love is Here to Stay", "That Old Black Magic", and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas".

yes i understand that. and they did very well with bringing back the live band and hand made sound effects I just thought that the story itself was so bland and boring. There really werent any characters at all. No development

So I take it there's no need for me to pull the program?

I enjoyed the show as I enjoy the era they were set in....the radio shows of the 1940's. I don't remember any specific characters (it's been over 10 years) but I do remember thinking that it could work off Broadway.

I also enjoyed AMC's Remember Wenn.

I've seen the show twice. I actually just saw it a couple of weeks ago. I liked the show fine. Not my favorite, but fun.

It's not a show it's a radio re-enactment. god i hate HATE this show and am bitter that i wasted a show in high school about this.

My high school just performed this show last weekend. I was Clifton Feddington. It was okay. We had a lot of compliments from the older crowd, but a lot of my friends said the show was really boring. They liked our singing though.

I could see where this show would turn people off--especially a high school aged crowd. The plot is definitely secondary and isn't overly engaging...but the purpose of the show is hearing all of those old numbers sung in the format of an old radio show. When I did the show we had an amazing cast. Our Cantone had been in the movie version of The Sound of Music and our Clifton was a local radio morning talk show personality. I was a senior in high school at the time and was cast in the smaller role of Stanley. I had a great time in the show and it really introduced me to the music of an era that I wasn't too familiar with at that time.
