Did anyone see Lois Smith? Was she better than Christine Ebersole (who wasn't even nominated)?
And Michael Berresse not winning for choreography? Not to mention that [title of show] should have been nominated for and won Best Musical.
*sigh*

I've never even heard of "seven"
---> surprised Christine Ebersole wasn't even nominated. People gave her a lot of credit.
Lois Smith gave a remarkable performance. It's unfair to compare her to Ebersole, because the roles are so completely different. However, it is a total travesty that Ebersole wasn't nominated.
If I had a ballot, I think I would've voted for Julie White---Her performance was hands-down the most fun I had at the theatre this season.

I will go a step further, Gery Gardens got robbed.Hopefully, the Drama Desk will think more highly of it and it's wonderful cast.
The fact that Ebersole didnt even get nomination shows how big of a joke these awards are. Grey Gardens got totally robbed. However I have a good feeling Grey Gardens is going to bring back a bunch of awards from Drama Desk.
Ebersole was robbed.
She is incredible in Grey Gardens.

Corine, honey, the Lucille Lortel Awards are for Off-Broadway theater. Felicia Fields wasn't eligible (duh).
Whoops. I was thinking about how she was over looked at the Drama Desk. I don't function in the morning.
I didn't see Grey Gardens (rats!) but I did see The Trip to Bountiful. It was magnificent and is one of my top three favorite productions in the past year. Lois Smith was perfection and the whole show left me in a daze. I was very moved by it. I could not have imagined better performances.
