2008-2009 Broadway Season at TPAC (TN Performing Arts Center) line-up

Apoligies for not having dates...my dad didn't tell me those. But their line-up is:

Avenue Q
The Wizard of Oz
The Pajama Game
Jersey Boys
Happy Days
Legally Blonde

And their 2009-2010 season will kick off with Wicked.

Just FYI for those in that general area.

I just saw this about ten minutes ago. The line up isn't as good as I had hoped, but it's still 1000 times better than the 2007-2008 season.

Yeah. My parents usher there, and they were asked to usher the event. Daddy called as soon as they got home ~ we just had to talk about crap going on at work for a little while. (My sister cries to our mom, I cry to our dad.)

Spamalot was really the only one I considered flying home for this year ~ not so much to see it since I could see it here as to see them for a little while.

I can't believe you beat me to the punch! I went to the announcement party this evening. Here's the whole season with dates:

The Wizard of Oz: January 13 - 18, 2009
The Pajama Game: February 17 - 22, 2009
Jersey Boys: March 18 - April 5, 2009
Happy Days: May 5 - 10, 2009
Legally Blonde: June 23 - 28, 2009

Tuna Does Vegas (with Jaston Williams and Joe Sears): December 2 - 7, 2008

The Backyardigans Live: August 23 - 24, 2008
Bill Cosby: September 27, 2008
Bob the Builder Live (Spud's Big Mess): May 15 - 17, 2009

And, finally, they confirmed that Wicked would be coming in the Fall of 2009. Yay!

YES to ave q. What production of "Wizard of Oz" is this?? I haven't heard of a touring production of it happening right now. Pajama game - meh. Jersey boys YES, happy days meh, and Legally blonde YES. Pretty good lineup, TPAC!

I'm not sure about the production of "The Wizard of Oz." The description mentions munchkins, flying monkeys, a dazzling art deco Oz, and breathtaking special effects. Hope that helps. You might check out the TPAC website tomorrow when all of this should be posted.
