Any ideas on what is coming to BIC in 2010? I have heard Young Frankenstein, 101 Dalmations, and possibly In the Heights.

I hope Young Frankenstein and In The Heights really do make it to Chicago. . I'd love to see both of them.

This BWW news article includes the following blurb...
"August: Osage County is a part of the 2010 Broadway In Chicago Season Subscription Series. Subscribers will have an opportunity to purchase tickets beginning in April 2009. Tickets will go on-sale to the public at a later date to be announced."
My two take-aways:
1) August: Osage County will be part of the 2010 season ticket.
2) The rest of the 2010 Season will be announced by the end of April.

They're doing it at Drury Lane - Oak Brook this season. Maybe that's where they saw it?

I'm curious as to what will be apart... I'm assuming Shrek will, just because. Other than that, it could be almost anything.

Things I will see (all of which I have never seen): In The Heights, The Addams Family, Young Frankenstein, August: Osage County, Dreamgirls
Things I am curious about but probably not willing to spend money on: Shrek, 101 Dalmations
The other two I have no interest in at all :/
Not a bad season though, imo. On a random note, I saw a commercial for Jersey Boys while at the movie theater today (during "the twenty" or whatever it is they're calling the pre-preview previews lol). Is it still selling pretty well? I wonder how much longer the show will stick around (here anyway).

Well, they have all of the upcoming shows either occupying the Oriental, or the Cadillac, so it looks like that JB won't be going anywhere for at least another year. After that though, who knows?

Meh, I'm kind of disappointed with the season. Looking forward to In the Heights and Dream Girls, but thats about it. I'll probably see Addams Family and August:OC. But seriously....101 Dalmatians? Cats??

Which is why I'm surprised. I'm saying we've had more shows come through this season. Let's see...since Wicked's closing alone, we've:
Grease, Xanadu, Chicago, Spamalot, Bronx Tale, Chorus Line, Mary Poppins, Dirty Dancing, Rent, Legally Blonde, and with Fiddler and Spring Awakening to come....did I leave anything out? That's 12 shows. In five months.

Okay so I'm definitely late to the party on this one, but how much do I LOVE "In The Heights"?! I got the cast recording from the library the other day and I can't stop listening to it. I was already excited for it to come but now I'm even more excited!!

I'm pretty disappointed with this season...but August: Osage County coming ALMOST makes up for the whole thing. I'm really excited for this one!
