That's the outlook of a lot of my optimistic friends I'm in school with.

Frankly I get embarrassed for folks who talk about the world ending in 2012. Didn't the world end for the Mayans about 500 years ago? If they are so great at predicting stuff, they should have predicted the arrival of the Spanish- that would have been MUCH more useful.
