I just saw all the pictures from the 24 four hour musicals and I must say I was very disappointed with Ted Sperling. The thing I respect the MOST about the Public is how diverse they cast their shows, benefits etc. and how their base of writers and composers is unique and again ethnically diverse. With the exception of the amazing Tracie Thoms, not a single writer, composer, nor actor was ethnic. This is not to diminish their talent nor credibility. But the A Train plays always represented a cross demographic of many people and suddenly we go to the musical version and it's the great "white" way. I was so excited to see that he would be the new musical integrator at the Public but I hope this is not the sign of things to come. thoughts?

Right, because they intentionally DIDN'T cast a million ethnic people.
Get over it.

Hey, I'm not just talking cast. The entire team from musical directors, directors to composers was caucasian. I only care because it's completely different from the A TRAIN plays which are completely diverse. Also, that I am concerned that this is the direction that the Public will go.

So you're afraid that the company which originated Chorus Line, Hair, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Passing Strange, etc., will suddenly become white-centric?
