#02nd row "Spamalot" seats
Posted: 11/9/05 at 9:35amIs 2nd row seating too close to enjoy Spamalot? I don't remember how high the stage is. For some theaters (like the Majestic), it is fine---the stage is low, but other theaters (like the Ambassador), the stage is high and 2nd row is too close.

Posted: 11/9/05 at 11:02amNo, it is not too close. The stage is not very high so you'll see just fine.

Posted: 11/9/05 at 12:00pmWell, I just bought 2nd row seats for August. (I also have tix for May----but they're in the back of mezzanine--). I know that probably none of this current cast will still be performing, but I hope that the new cast will be almost as good. I just love this show----it's hysterical. (now I just have to wait to see who the replacements will be---I especially love Michael McGrath and Christian Borle's performances)

Posted: 11/9/05 at 12:06pmI was front/center (rush tickets) for Chicago when it was there. Even that wasn't too close. I prefer to be further back, but it didn't get in the way of my enjoyment of the show to be that close. Now, 2nd row far right in Winter Garden for Mamma Mia was a different story. I couldn't think of a WORSE place to be in that theatre!

Posted: 11/9/05 at 1:47pmSomething happens to the person in either seat A101, B101 or C101. They change it each night so you don't know for sure if it will be you.

Posted: 11/9/05 at 2:25pmYeah its not always B101. When it was me, I was in C101.

Just out of curiosity...
what were some of the jokes made for A101, C101, and D101?
I saw the show twice in three days and it was B101 both times, so I just figured that's what it always was.
It was one of my fav moments of the show though. "Buy, oi!", "...Or not two B!"
What an experience it would be though. I'd kill to be the lucky one... before Tim Curry leaves...

Posted: 11/9/05 at 9:50pm"Chi-Oy!" was it when I was in C101...I nearly died and my poor mother who was sitting next to me couldn't understand why I kept saying "oh my God" under my breath. It was amusing.
