A recent casting notice says that the revival of Moises Kaufman's 33 VARIATIONS starring Jane Fonda will begin previews January 31st in advance of a March 2nd opening for a limited run through May 19th.
This production seems to have come together awful fast. I didn't think the recent announcement mentioning it arriving in "spring 2009" meant anything near something this concrete.
Anyone have any idea what theater they're taking?

Maybe the Walter Kerr, post-The Seagull?
This is so exciting, as I had no idea it was playing around the time when I will actually be there.

It's had two productions at Arena Stage and La Jolla in addition to years of workshops including at the Sundance Theatre Lab. I'm sure the Broadway plans have been in the works for a while, but it wasn't possible until they could get a star. Once Fonda signed on I'm sure it was fast tracked to accommodate her availability.
I'm excited to see Fonda on stage.
bump.
I have to say I didn't know anything about 33 Variations, but after reading the review of the Arena Stage production, I am excited to see this on Broadway. Especially, with Ms. Fonda returning to the stage.
