$35 TDF tickets?

Hello everyone,

Someone here wrote that he had bought a ticket for Cry-Baby for 35 dollars through TDF. The ticket he got was in the orchestra in the center.

Most of the time I buy my tickets at the TKTS booth and I pay from 60 to 70 dollars every time (including Cry-Baby), they are usually located in the orchestra section, but never ever in the center.

How do I get those $35 tickets?

re: $35 TDF tickets?

Weren't the $35 tickets a special promotion that had only during previews?

I'm AMAZED at how fast people answer on these boards. Wow.

Eris, the promotion was $54 any seat during previews, but Jaystarr went this last Sunday and states that he got "Tix Price : $35.00 (thru TDF) for Orchestra Row N Center seat 121 " in https://forum.broadwayworld.com/readmessage.cfm?thread=966654&dt=34&boardid=1

I wonder what he did to get them.

I want to see Cry-Baby again, I loved it. I don't know why so many people don't like it. I like to think I have high standards, and I really liked that show. Maybe I was in a very good mood the day I saw it...

Anyway, if anyone could help me I'd be very grateful.

Go to TDF.org and see if you're eligible for a membership. It's probably worth the $30 membership fee if you're not a student (but otherwise eligible) and see a number of shows.

There is less selection than TKTS, and the seats are usually worse than TDF (you don't get to choose, you just pick them up at the theater that night, sometimes center orchestra, usually rear mezz). But, as you said, they're cheaper. And you can buy in advance, although not all performances to a given show are available (often just weekday nights).

Just do a search for TDF on here and see people's experiences at different shows. Hope that helps.

re: $35 TDF tickets?

Jake7...some more general info about TDF. This is the second year I've had TDF and I've saved myself a ton of money last year, I've seen a lot of shows, and the seats were decent (by decent, I mean that many a times I'm sitting in the rear mezzanine, but I'm not a seat snob so it's not a huge deal to me...as long as I can see the stage!)

I also used TDF for my Cry Baby tickets. I went a few weeks ago, before the Tony nominaions. I think they were $35 for row D of the mezzanine. The seats were really good, but because the mezzanine was virtually empty, I was able to move right before the opening number.

Hope this helps. There are other ways of getting cheap tickets...just do a search.
