Nothing different...probably a curtain speech.
they just released them now? Wow they must not have a crowd for tomorrow. I wish I had known.. I would have gotten tickets.
"42nd st." is closing?? Thank God.

Not so (referring to the "not much of a crowd").
I tried student rush today (to no avail) and they were sold out of this evening's show, and at the time had 2 tickets left for tomorrow evening (this is at about 5pm today, before the additional seats were released).
wow i just went to see what the seats were and if i wanted them i could have gotten row AA center orchestra. I'm guessing that's good which is really bad.

Hmmm, I still can't decide... am I going to see 42nd Street tonight or catch Alfred Molina's last night in Fiddler?
Decisions, decisions...
I'm not too keen on spending $100 on 42nd Street and I assume that's the only way to get in tonight

We just bought our seats yesterday around 5:30 p.m. for tonight's show - Row G Center!!
I have a ticket for this evenings show (center balcony), but woke up this morning in DC with a cold. The ticket is with me or else I would gladly give it to someone. I'm really bummed, but I have seen the revival 5 times.
For the person who asked if they would be doing something special. Not sure, but you'll be witnessing a performance with tons of energy both from the actors and the audience.
Enjoy.
I saw this past Wednesday's matinee, December 29th, I believe. The show was great. Gavin Lodge was on for Billy Lawlor, and Vanessa Sonon was on for Peggy. They both did good jobs; Sonon was a standout. Her dancing was great, and her singing was good. Patrick Cassidy and Blair Ross were pretty strong also.
The new Anytime Annie, Alana Salvatore was phenomenal. I loved watching her onstage.
I saw row AA a little off center. Great seats, but a bit too close. I could see their wig linings and the microphone cords in their tights, and the experience was a bit lost for me.
I will say this; the show lost something when it lost Mary Testa. The energy that woman had was amazing, and she had everyone laughing all the time. Patti Mariano does fairly well, but Testa was the real deal in that role. I miss her
I think I'll cry tonight
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa
I thought Mary Testa was wonderful in 42nd Street. I saw Patti do the role both on tour and on Broadway, but liked Mary so much better. She was such a hoot!!!
I hope someone reports on how the closing was tonight.

The closing show was AMAZING!!!! I sat row c next to the director of the show, He was Very proud... you could tell by his heartfelt tears. The cast was OUTSTANDING!!!! They all shinned so much. The show did have a small glitch with the set in the 1st act, but hey, that’s what makes theatre not TV!!!
Every tapping foot made a sound that echoed a spectacular evening. 42nd Street in by no mean the greatest show, however it did set a standard on how Broadway at one time should be done. Its a tribute to NY, actors, as well as everyone with a dream... Anyone else see the show
Also, I sat Very close to a guy from the chorus parents, His mother was telling these great stories of how he started tapping at 10 (i love MOMS)
Thanks for the report.

am i the only one who never saw this show?
I'm IN this show now...heh- community theatre- playing Lorraine. I just think it is such a phenomenal show- saw the revival twice. So sad that it has now closed, but it had a great run.
I saw the tour, but it was January of last year. Blair Ross was Dorothy Brock, Alana Salvatore was Anytime Annie, and Patti Mariano was in it too. I am going to miss this show.

My daughter & I were there last night - the show was great and the audience was great too! The show will be missed!
I was at the closing as well, and it was amazing--I've never cried so hard at the closing of a Broadway show in my life, and I've been to quite a few. Every number was a showstopper, and the cast got three standing ovations DURING the show, nevermind the one they got at the end. It was a great send off for the show and the cast.
And yes, there was a set malfunction during the Regency Club scene--it had to do with the tabs closest to downstage. Walkie talkies were going off everywhere, but they were able to fix it without stopping the show.
