I would LOVE to see this reproduced even though it flopped.
I adore the score, especially this song.
If you're a big fan of the number, pick up BEA ARTHUR'S DINNER WTIH FRIENDS' audio recording to hear Bea sing it with its composer at the piano.

Stardust Ballroom? As in the Maureen Stapleton movie? I didn't realize this was a stage musical of that! I just love Loudon's version of the song. Now I'll have to find the Loudon cast recording and a video of the Stapleton movie (also didn't realize that Charles Durning and Charlotte Rae are in it, too!)
I find that "I Am What I Am" from La Cage also leaves me alternately confidently and teary, like people were saying.
