IRMA LA DOUCE opened at the Plymouth Theatre. This is a fun little musical, and Peter Filichia has a nice appreciation on the Masterworks Broadway website.
The cast album has been out on CD since 1991, and before that was steadily in print on LP. Surprising because the show is seldom revived these days.

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Yes, it was a fun musical with a delightful score. Those 50 years sure went quickly! I have to say, I liked the shows then better, but things change, and there's nothing you can do about it anyway.
As for "Irma La Douce," it was given a small-scale production in NY a few years ago and came off very well.
I wish I had known...50 years ago tonight I was stuck in front of a black and white TV watching the Mickey Mouse Club.
Cheryl was my favorite....sorry Annette!
