how could you forget adam?!
Broadway Legend Joined: 5/18/03
He isn't listed at www.upcomingmovies.com is probably why. he has a small role and they only list the pricipals for Marci X.
I hear the film is total crap though. However, I will be spending my $$ on seeing it.

And just for the reason above, right? Me too!

And I will be forced to cover my eyes and ears anytime Manley Pope is on the screen. Can't stand him.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Veanne Cox one of the stepsisters in R&H's Cinderella?

I am still pissed why camp is playing so limitedly. This one better not.

CAMP is an INDEPENDENT film . They don't open in every theatre across the country at the same time. they open in a few cities and as popularity/word of mouth builds and as money comes in, it expands to more markets. The website has a list of the cities it is currently sceduled to open in.

The 'X' in the title stands for the quality of the film.... a giant X wriien across the title by every critic.

That could very well be, Broadwayguy. But as of yet there are no reviews out. And since it was written by that comic genius, Paul Rudnick ("Jeffrey," "The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told," "Addams Family Values," the upcoming "Stepford Wives") perhaps it would be wise to adopt a Wait and See policy.
I agree that this movie looks less than brilliant, but I would watch any piece of crap for Sherie Rene Scott! I am sure SHE will be funny, and for me that is worth the $$$

well, what do all these broadway actors do?? do they sing and dance in the film, or what?? if not why then choose all broadway people if they aren't utilizing their talents??

i saw a preview as well, i don't know if it was a commercial or on one of the entertainment news shows, but it does look awful. i can't believe lisa kudrow is starring in it. but i will probably see it as well, just to see all the broadway actors. i just watched the trailer on imdb.com (i put the link below so you all can check it out) and sherie sure does turn up a lot in the trailer (she's one of lisa kudrow's friends, along with jane krakowski). anyone know when this is being released?
also, i can't believe this movie is written by the writer that did the screenplay for the upcoming remake of the stepford wives...can you get MORE different?
you can view the trailer here
btw i just checked yahoo.com....
the movie opens august 22nd nationwide
Utilize their talents?
They're ACTORS, aren't they?
They don't have to sing and dance in everything.

well, no, but they DID hire 6-7 broadway triples, i thought it was because they wanted them to dance and sing as well! Use them to their fullest capacity!

I am trying the 'wait and see' policy, but the film was done a while a go and has just been sitting on the shelf and one thing I have always heard about the film industry is that when a film sits on the shelf and release dates keep getiing pushed back, it is a good sign that the film is a bomb.

they probaly decied to release becasue bring down the house was a box office hit. from seeing the previews this movie kinda reminds me of bringing down the house. who know?
This film was completed over 2 years ago, seconds before Sept.11th and then held. It's loosely based on a Lizzy Grubman-esque publicist and therefore was held *again* after she ran over all those people in the Hamptons. Advanced screening "buzz" has been merciless to say the least, Bway stars or not. I do think it will be released but I don't think it's anyones' idea of a motion picture masterpiece. It's also had very bad luck with timing.
