I'll be getting into the city tomorrow and can be at the theater by 1pm. I'd love to catch a matinee at 2pm. Is this to late to get the partial view seats that they sell there for people who are waiting for SRO?

I think I got one about an hour prior on a Saturday night a month ago - the weekend before the Tonys. I'm not sure if that was a fluke, but it is possible!

If there is just one of you you might be lucky!
I'm not sure if there is a difference between the partial view and box seats, because they sell the latter in advance and I would assume they are sold-out day off, but you can always try!
And if they don't have any you could ask for the Mid Mezz tickets that are $84 with a discount (Theatermania), or move on to one of the other shows nearby, since the Brooks is right in the thick of it!

I got mine a few hours before, so I think you should be fine. I don't know if it's changed post-Tonys and post-opening, as I saw it in late previews.

Just got one 30 min to showtime! The box I'm in is great, any box closer would be very obstrcted by a speaker.

Nah, I was in the front box (stage right) in the front seat and the speakers didn't obstruct anything. They boxes are awesome for this show/set!
