I couldn't figure out how to get the $10 tickets online, so I think I'm going to do the $8 ticket thing. It sounds interesting, plus, maybe i can get a pretty awesome seat for eight bucks.
So, the BWW article says you have to come between 1pm and 7:30 pm but the Text message and the 8coupons.com website make no mention of a time restriction. I think im gonna go and try when the BO opens.
EDIT.
nevermind. i didn't realize NWS BO didn't open til 1.
Oh joy. And just after I spent 30-something dollars this exact morning (well not THIS morning, but Thursday morning) on TDF getting a ticket for Rooms. Always a day late I swear. I'm still going down to the box office to see if the $8 ticket will somehow get me a better seat, since I'm still not sure where I sit for Rooms with TDF. But still - grr.
On a less bitter note, that is kind of cool that they are doing this. I hope this gets a lot of people to see a show they otherwise wouldn't want to waste their money on. Great way to get word of mouth going.
fyi the BWW article was wrong (I know, shocker), you can still use the $8.00 text code beyond Fri 2/27- I used it today to pick up tix to my second viewing of ROOMS.
My posting the code will not help you, you have to show the text on your phone, as in physically hold up your phone so that the text message can be read, when you're at the box office.
Coolkid- It actually says to show the text at the box office.

Hmm...I guess if you can't receive text messages then you should just buy 10 dollar tickets instead. The first two rows. Its only a 2 dollar difference.

Coolkid...just to reiterate what people have already said...
When I went to pick up my tickets, they asked to see the text on my phone, so I'm pretty sure they're going to want to see it ON YOUR PHONE. Especially since that's what the promotion was specifically set up for.
I've also been able to use online codes without physical backup, but NWS needed to see my phone. Sooooo.......good luck.
