It's going to be hard to find a teenage gay character's monologue from an 80's films. I'd suggest using Michael Anthony Halls monologue in Breakfast Club or somethign of River Phoenix's from Stand By Me. That last scene with him and Wil Weaton?

I agree with Moxie. Anthony Michael Hall in The Breakfast Club would be great.
River Phoenix was amazing in Stand by Me, but he was rather young (wasn't that more like pre-teen?) He has a scene with Martha Plimpton in Running on Empty that is heartbreaking. It's an excellent film, and it earned him an Oscar nomination.
If you can pull it off, I'd also suggest taking a look at Jon Cryer's performance as Duckie in Pretty in Pink. He was unbelievable! No one played the hilarious, lovelorn misfit better.
I think Phoenix was actually something like 15 or 16 when they did Stand By Me. Jerry O'Connell was youngest at 11, and the other two were probably 12/13. I think anyway. It's been a long time since I learned these factoids. O_O
