i absolutely adored the show! saw it in august and again in october, and i would KILL to see it again before Dan leaves. ahhh i'm so upset!

the first time i saw it, i had no idea what to expect. i had the TIME OF MY LIFE. i literally fell outta my seat laughing so hard. it's so smart, and original. ahhhh i love it!

I agree with your assessment of "I Love You".

But I disagree about Barfee being an a-hole. I think Fogler manages to convey true vulnerability to his character.(There are many scenes that showcase that: "I honestly don't think I'm good enough" , when he talks about his parents, or when his magic foot fails, and he has to get the word on his own.) And don't forget, he genuinely considers throwing the bee, so Olive can win. She assures him it's ok, so he goes for the win. I think he comes accross as very likeable.

And I adore Fogler's performance, and do believe it was Tony worthy.

This is possibly my favorite show on Broadway right now. Olive is my favorite character as well, and I think a lot of that is because of the brilliant performance given by Ms. Celia Keenan-Bolger. One of the most heartfelt and heartbreaking performances I have seen. Overall, I think the show is a ton of fun with some crazy silly stuff, but it really has heart and you also take away something from it.
