I was wondering if anyone has an opening night playbill that they got from the theatre. I went to opening night but the playbill was regular then I saw they were selling official opening night playbills at the playbill store online so I got one. I had assumed that maybe because I was in the mezz I didn't get one on opening night. buuuuut I just got the playbill in the mail today and it has the opening night sticker but the playbill itself is from May. Did I just get ripped off by playbill.com??????
No, you ripped yourself off.
omg! you're so helpful! geeeze that was completely unnecessary of you
Well you DID! You were at Opening Night!
hmmm yeah and it was absolutely amazing
Perhaps if you posted BEFORE you bought it then people would be able to tell you that only the ones from Playbill.com have the stickers. Congrats, you spent $10 on a sticker.
WOW, you're freakin' brilliant. I'll just hop in my time machine and take your fantastic advice. Please get off this thread if you don't have anything helpful to add

emilyfaye--defying gravity is right. You did pay $10 for a sticker on a Playbill from May.
And, the opening night playbills at the theatre don't have stickers, but they do say OPENING NIGHT and the date on one of the inside pages, the one with the show info on it.
Look for it.
Thank you, that was helpful! Now that I've looked at the playbill I got it does say it on the inside. I was under the impression that the theatre gave out playbills with the stickers. Now I've got both, oh well
well you can always peel off the 10 dollar sticker and put it on the real opening night playbill.
Look at it this way - you got to see the opening night performance AND you got a legitimate opening night playbill AND you've made a contribution to a good charity. It sounds like win-win to me!

A sweet one...hehehe.
When I saw Rock Of Ages I inadvertently went to the last preview before opening night (I really wasn't keeping track of when previews ended and when opening night was) and the playbill that I got had the opening night information on the top of the title page. I guess that I can say that I have an opening night playbill to rock of ages even though I went to the final preview.
Oops - my mistake. I assumed you had purchased your 'opening night playbill' from the BC/EFA's Playbill store.
