I hope it goes into a small to medium house.

I guess since the Shubert will be taken maybe it can go where good vibrations is?

That would be the logical choice. I think the Minskoff will be available by that time but would be a huge mistake for this show.

This show needs a older theater. One wher you can sense history.

When I was a undergrad at NYU I would always go see Chorus Line when I was down or lonely. It was like a very good friend. I am so glad it is coming back.

Folks, it's not opening until a YEAR from September -- that's 21 months away. There's no point on speculating what theatres will be available that far into the future at this point.

I seem to rember it being the "Mark hellinger". But I could be wrong.

Sorry, I blocked that and everything else associated with that piece of garbage out of my mind.

Blocking is no good. We must learn from past mistakes. And I hope that with this chorus line they film the performance for posterity.

Well, I had to block it to try and regain the splendor that was the original stage production. That was a show that I saw a number of times and being an acting student at the time it was also a show that spoke to me in many ways. Then Sir Dicky comes along and does a hatchet job on the show. I too hope that there could be a filmed stage performance, if the revival lives up to the original Bennett masterpiece.

I hope so too. I have been so disappointed by the horrible jobs they have done with the recent revivals of Fiddler, Little Shop, and La Cage. They have no soul.

It is not a good sign that that Bialy ( I can't rember her name) woman is involved. She has gone around the country recreating different productions of Chorus Line and they all come out like plae copies of the original. Sort of like a painting by numbers.

The last production I saw was outhere in Los Angeles. bee Newirth was playing Cassie. The production itself was a pale copy of the original. And yes; that woman directed it.

I don't think this is such a sure fire hit. A chorus line is a very simple yet big hearted show. It might just go over the heads of our "Wicked" audiences of today.

I hope they cast iit very young. And please... no Nick Lacheys or Ginger Spice in the casting. Keep it young, unknown, and real.

Baayork Lee must be about 132 years old by now.

Bialy? Do you mean Baayork Lee? Wow, I've always heard that she's awesome (haven't seen any of her stagings I can't really comment). I was actually glad to see that she's involved, being that she's an original cast member and dance captain. All the reviews I read about the 2001 tour were awesome. And she'll be directed by Bob Avian, so hopefully they'll find the right "spirit".
I too wonder how today's audiences, used to mega-musicals like "Wicked" and "The Lion King", will grasp the simple yet complex concept of "A Chorus Line".
This would be one trip to NY I would definitely would make the effort for... ACL is my all time favorite musical.
