In Alan Menken's A CHRISTMAS CAROL, what is the context of the song "A Place Called Home"? I was wondering which character sings it and what part of the show it fits into. Thanks!

It's sung during Scrooge's past by Boy Scrooge and Fan, then reprised at Fred's Party. Updated On: 11/29/03 at 07:39 PM

Emily and Scrooge sing it...

Hope to see it before it closes. I remember another musicalized "Christmas Carol" years back with the late great Gregory Hines as Scrooge called "Comin' Uptown". Written by the team who wrote "Purlie" . The critics figured they needed to have some wind taken out of their sails so they panned that & their next (& last show I believe ) "Angel ( a musical of Look, Homeward Angel). Have a recording of the unreleased studio cast album of the latter & the score is quite good. Another good songwriting team the critics killed.
