there's three moments for me in CTE
1) when the key shifts in the opening number (you know, with the brilliant 'each being horrider' lyric)
2) It's Never That Easy / I've Been There Before
3) and in answer to your question Frenzy...MISS BYRD
Next: BIG, the musical

"There Is Nothing Like A Dame"
-I think there's nothing like a men's chorus, but that's just me. LOVE the ending chord too...)
SIDE SHOW (the one, the only, the OBC)
-Just excited to see this next week in Chicago. Wouldn't THIS be a great idea for an Actor's Fund concert?

How could you not say "I Will never Leave you"?
Phantom, OLC again, since the question was not answered. It's not without redemption.

Again, just LOVE the choral stuff, especially in "Masquerade" and the Don Juan rehearsal:
"Poor Young Maidan, for the thrill on your tounge of stolen sweet, tangled in the winding sheets..."
I'm also a big fan of the contrapuntal (right word?) sections at the end of each "Notes". You can't understand a word they're staying, but it sound pretty sweet.
(Speaking of PHANTOM--if you ever meet me in person, ask me to demonstrate how I incorporated the signature 'Masquerade' move in our show choir's "We Dance" (ONCE ON THIS ISLAND) as an inside joke while the POTO tour was just down the street...)
EDIT: Whoops! Need to leave you with the next show, don't I?

In "You Can't Stop the Beat" when the orchestra drops out and they only play a few pulses as the cast sings. THRILLING

This is SO not indicative of the score, but I find 'Standing on the Corner' to be infectious.
