pardon me for being uninformed, but i don't know anything about this show.

Plot?

also, my parents are like super sensitive to controversial subject matter of any kind. would they be cool with it?

There's a gay character in the show who is not ashamed of himself for being gay.

They would probably despise it.

Controversial material?

What do they do, wait for the 3 months out of the year The Grinch is running to go to the theater?

I got my discount tickets!!! Is it unusual for a show to have dicount tickets available before it opens? Is that a bad sign for the show's success?

Thanks WBaf!

Unfortunately I am taking a hiatus after GYPSY, so I guess I will miss CRY-BABY & A CATERED AFFAIR! re: A CATERED AFFAIR Discount Code

Are they holding seats back on this for a reason? When I search (with and without the discount), the seats are all in the back of the theater, closest I find is row M on the side. mezz isn't much better and changing dates doesn't seem to be helping. I can't imaging that this show is selling so well as to not be able to get closer.

Yeah, it's hard to believe those are the best seats you can find. *rolls eyes* Too bad for you, the show seems to be selling pretty well. I mean, god forbid the show sell well.

I rather wait to see what their rush policy is.

Jaystarr,

Does that mean a hiatus from the board, as welll?

One can only hope!

What is that supposed to mean, paphillyguy?

Jaystarr is hands down the most friendly, attitude-free, generous poster on this board.

I certainly hope Jay doesn't take a break from the board. He contributes so much to the community here.

He has made a claim in a previous post about something he claims I said and I have challenged him to back up his claim and he can not, as it was false. Yet he never took the time to PM me and explain and better yet publicly take back his statement. To me that is not a stand up individual.

Link paphillyguy? Without that, you're not really backing up your claim either.

"He has made a claim in a previous post about something he claims I said and I have challenged him to back up his claim and he can not, as it was false."

This sentence gives me a headache. Whatever happened between you and jaystarr is your business - sometimes people make mistakes or think someone else said something even if it isn't true. But I also have to agree with Wanna Be a Foster that jaystarr is probably one of the most friendly, positive people on this board. He takes the time to post in-depth reviews and contributes a lot to the community here at BroadwayWorld. I also noticed your last few threads seemed to be targeting him, and I do not know whether or not those were sarcastic comments or not.

Besides, what thread are you referring to?

Actually, the discounted prices are becoming slightly higher with the increase of regular ticket prices. You can still get tickets for as low as $55 for some shows.
