I hope you don't mind the shill, but it's for a good cause and I know a lot of BWW-ers may find this right up their alley!

http://www.playbill.com/news/article/156389-Casting-Complete-for-Beautiful-Soup-Rep-Productions-of-A-Dolls-House-and-A-Dolls-Life-Benefit-Concert-Too

The Beautiful Soup Theater Collective, who is producing the New York revival of A DOLL'S LIFE in rep with Henrik Ibsen's A DOLL'S HOUSE, is presenting an evening of songs from famous Broadway flops to benefit their NORA, IN REP.

In 1991, theater critic Ken Mandelbaum published his celebration of flop musicals, "Not Since Carrie". Many of us theater geeks have slept with that book on our bedside table for years. Some of us can't go to bed without re-reading a chapter. Maybe the section about ROZA or the bit about PRETTYBELLE or, with togas and all, the juicy details of CARRIE. Whatever it is about flops that turns us on, it fuels some of the nerdiest obs...essions one can imagine.

To benefit the Beautiful Soup Theater Collective's revival of "A Doll's Life", a 1982 flop that closed with only 18 performances under it's belt, the Collective and some of our favorite guests will come together to perform an evening of songs from some of Broadway's biggest flops!

"A Doll's Life", with music by Larry Grossman and a book by the late and beloved Comden & Green, will see a revival in repertory with Cristina Carrion's production of Ibsen's "A Doll's House", on which the musical is based. All funds raised at WHEN I'M DRUNK I'M BEAUTIFUL will help to cover the costs of rehearsal space, costumes and props for both productions!

The night will feature songs from "A Doll's Life" and other famous flops of musical theater history.

Hosted by B.S.T.C Artistic Director Steven Carl McCasland (who is joined at the piano with Jeremy Robin Lyons) and Mallory Berlin (the star of "A Doll's Life"), you'll be treated to stories and folklore of the flops of Broadway past.Joining Mallory Berlin, Jeremy Robin Lyons and Steven Carl McCasland are the talents of:

Shannon Agnew
Roxy Arrojo (Don't Tell Mama's)
Cristina Carrion
Mario Castro
Margaret Dietrich
Thomas Dolan
Emily Floyd
Kathleen Gubitosi
Dot Mitzvah
Alex Pagels
Alionka Polanco
Cara Picone
Anne Richmond
Jordan Shaner
Laurie Jill Strickland
Nikki Van Cassele (National tour of Sam Mendes' CABARET, Sophia's Fall at NYMF)
Tal Yardeni
and the star of Ibsen's "A Doll's House" for B.S.T.C, Kymberly Tuttle

HOPE SOME OF YOU CAN MAKE IT!

The Beautiful Soup Theater Collective is a charitable organization. A portion of all Box Office proceeds for NORA IN REP will be donated to the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative.

But we can't put on the productions without our community's support! If anyone from BroadwayWorld plans on coming down this Sunday, USE THE DISCOUNT CODE: "Mock Turtle Soup" for a $10 ticket (regularly priced $20).

We'd love to see some of you down there, especially those of you getting excited about A DOLL'S LIFE.
