A Christmas Story Tour

Has anyone seen the new tour of A Christmas Story? I was excited when I saw it was coming to SF and jumped on tickets. I had remembered good reports a couple of years ago from its Broadway run about the score and that it retained the spirit of the original stories and TV broadcast - and the great cast!
Since buying tickets, I've noticed it's a very short engagement and the bare-bones TV ads give the impression that it's a non-Equity tour.

Anyone here seen it or have more info?

It is a non-equity tour.

It is also a high quality production of a great show. Matt Lenz directs the tour, inspired by the original Broadway direction and Warren Carlyle's fantastic choreography is recreated in full.

On Broadway, I had a few issues with Walt Spangler's scenic design, which I loved but I felt had a few glaring flaws. Michael Carnahan has adapted the scenic design for Big lLeague's tour and it fixed near every issue I had with the original design. It is a truly beautiful set... And I love the house.

I truly felt this show should have won the Tony for Best New Musical and is far and away my favorite of the seasonal offerings.

is it ever coming to LA???

Someone I know (who's opinion I truly respect) just saw it in SF and absolutely raved.
