1) Is Christine Ebersole's voice recorded during the opening prolouge scene?
2) Who is playing "Little Edie" during the opening scene? Is it Maureen Moore (I wouldn't think so)?
3) Were all of the songs re-recorded for the new cast album......I'm refering to songs that remained and cast members that stayed the same too.
1. Nope. It's live. Erin is doing the physical part, and sort of miming, but Ebersole is speaking from behind the scrim.
2. Erin Davie.
3. No.
1. It is not recorded. Christine speaks the lines from her place inside the house, by the piano.
2. Erin Davie is dressed as the Little Edie we see through the window. He mimes to Christine's live voice.
3. Not all of the songs were re-recorded for the new cast album. Some were only remixed or re-orchestrated, some had new cast members' voices dropped into them. It runs the gamit.
eta: oops, ya got there first, Walt.
Well, I know that that the little girl who play Lee, was not in the first album, I wonder is she made it into the "Five Fifteen"?
Kelsey recorded her parts and they were dubbed into the recording. (The same goes for Erin in her ensemble numbers).
