A Little Night Music Movie Question

A Little Night Music Movie Question

A Little Night Music Movie Question#0

I know that the movie with Elizabeth Taylor is dreadful. That said, does anyone know ANYPLACE to get a copy. I am currently in an independent study on Stephen Sondheim and my advisory and I would like to see it juxtaposed with a decent production. If anyone knows how to get it and ASAP I would be eternally grateful. It was available on Amazon but for $70 used and that is out of my price range.

Unfortunately, it's gonna cost ya! That $70 is probably cheaper than I've seen it. Have you tried E-Bay?

If you have a video store that has a good selection of older films on VHS they might have it. It was available on and off for many years on tape.

When they went to do a DVD they discovered that it would need a lot of restoration and no one wanted to underwrite teh cost for a film that is a) no very good and b) not all that well known.

Also, apply to collectors for a dub of the Live from Lincoln Centre telecast of the NYCO production (broadcast once around 1991.)

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
